Julia began her career in marketing at Random House before working at the BBC and the Barbican. She returned to the book trade to manage Foyles’ events, becoming Head of Marketing and Communications. In 2010, Julia helped found World Book Night, a national reading for pleasure and literacy charity and subsequently became CEO.

After integrating World Book Night into a larger literacy charity in 2014 she left and founded her own literary agency and marketing consultancy, Kingsford Campbell, working with a variety of publishers, authors and brands on the thing she is most passionate about - engaging people with books and reading.
